And Then There Where None Book Review

For an investigative story fan, I don’t know why this is my first time to read a book by Agatha Christie. I heard so many good things about her book and even enjoyed watching the 2 movie version of the Murder of the Orient Express.

There is a certain grey line between crime and thriller that I love and this book is one of them. I know that a huge twist of the story is waiting at the end so it makes me enjoy the book more by making several theories of who the killer is and what really did happen.

Some of my Theories
1. Mr. Rogers is the killer.
2. They are all killing each other.
3. This is just a big show and everyone is alive.
4. This is just a dream by someone on the train and all characters are passengers in the train he/she met.

Most authors have their signature way of plotting a story and if Agatha Christie’s is like this then looks like I will enjoy most of her books to the fullest.

Plot
10 people brought in one famous luxury island “Soldier Island” never to come back alive. Each died in a sequence according to a nursery rhyme. Now, what will happen to terrified individuals left on an island?

One choked his little self and then there were nine.

One said he’d stay there and then there were seven.
Seven little Indian boys chopping up sticks;
One chopped himself in halves and then there were six.

Five little Indian boys going in for law;
One got in Chancery and then there were four.
Four little Indian boys going out to sea;
A red herring swallowed one and then there were three.
Three little Indian boys walking in the Zoo;
A big bear hugged one and then there were two.
Two little Indian boys sitting in the sun;
One got frizzled up and then there was one.
One little Indian boy left all alone;
He went and hanged himself and then there were none.
