Running has been a huge part of my lifestyle this year. I ran my first-ever marathon during the Cebu City Marathon 2023, the most scenic Mayon 360 Run, the most organized Tagbilaran Ultramarathon, and a lot more in between.
Trail running has been one that I wanted to dive into, but due to schedule conflicts and some personal projects, I cannot attend one. My first trail running experience was during the Magma Run 2022, and I have registered for this year’s Magma 2023.
The mountains of Danao were my husband and I’s playground during our early hiking days. We even have this 17-kilometer Danao Hiking Trail from Mt. Manghilao to Danao Golf Course to Poblacion, Danao. So, the thought of Danao City’s 1st International Ultra Trail excites me.

How much are the cash prizes for the First Danao City International Ultra Trail?
Cash prizes are available, and to make the event even better, there will be cash prizes per age category for the 50KM and 100KM. So, you don’t have to worry about racing with the young ones or the hardcore ones for everybody has a huge chance of winning. For the 30KM and 15KM, there will be cash prizes for the Top 10 Men and Top 10 Women.
Are there Asia Trail Master Points for the Upcoming Danao City International Ultra Trail?
Yes. The Danao City International Ultra Trail is the very first International Ultra Trail event in Cebu. All finishers in the 50KM and 100KM categories will receive Asia Trail Master (ATM) points.
What is the Gun start and Cut-off time for the First Danao City International Ultra Trail?
For 50KM and 100KM there will be a cut-off time on some checkpoints so make sure to reach those stations on time to continue the race. All participants excluded from the race who wish to continue the route can only do so after having returned their race bib and under their responsibility.
