- I love the idea of a trip of 2 of the most powerful religious leader on earth, the Pope and the Dalai Lama. The idea that Jesus and Buddha in their time are with their people preaching and not in the comforts of huge cathedrals or temples.
- I agree with most of the times when the Pope and Dalai Lama concur on things and it actually shows that all religion is the same teaching about goodness and kindness.
- The character of Rosa is the spice of the story. She depicts most of the persons I know and I even sometimes see myself in her. Questioning about religious ways but believing God.
- Paolo, on the other hand, is your common practicing Catholic. A faithful who believes in everything the church is teaching and calling a sin everything he thinks is against the teachings of the church or against his belief.
- I think that the story could have focused more on the pope and the Dalai Lama. Perhaps, more conversation between them. The author could have research more about issues and topics that the Pope and the Dalai Lama commented on, then work it on the story. I wish they could have met more people along the way.
- Read a little of Italy’s history and Mussolini before reading this book.
- A good plot twist at the end.
Recommending this book to those people who wanted to be enlightened about religion and for those who love travel-related stories.
